There is a classic song in Vienna that goes: "Not long ago we were sitting in the Eden and talking...". It celebrates the nightlife buzz of Vienna's golden youth back in the 50s.
Times have since changed, but the Eden bar still exists (1st district, Liliengasse 2. Tel. 512 74 50) and it is certainly no longer the only place to savor a bit of Viennese nightlife.
In recent years Vienna has acquired a club and disco reputation that can now proudly stand up to comparison with other cities. Since programmes vary, it is always best to take a look at "Falter" city newspaper before setting off.
